Call 20/2026 – Applications for Master and PhD – start September 2026

Applications for Master and Ph.D. in Science and Technology/Chemistry, to start in September 2026, will be open from April 25th to May 25th, 2026 (Brasilia time).

To apply for the selection process, the candidate must access the form available at SIGAA (for Master’s level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2026.3 – ALUNOS REGULARES MESTRADO” and for Ph.D. level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2026.3 – ALUNOS REGULARES DOUTORADO”), answer the form, and attach copies of the listed documents (mandatory in PDF format).

NOTE: the grade from the Unified Exam of Chemistry, or a Project submitted for a scientific grant, is needed.

The Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry (PPG-CTQ) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) hereby makes public the final list of approved and ranked candidates in the Selection Process for the Master’s and PhD Programs, for international applicants not currently residing in Brazil, for admission in the Third Academic Term of 2026, with classes beginning in September 2026.

Public Notice 95/2025 – Preliminary results – International candidates – Admission September 2026

The Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry (PPG-CTQ) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) hereby makes public the preliminary list of approved and ranked candidates in the Selection Process for the Master’s and PhD Programs, for international applicants not currently residing in Brazil, for admission in the Third Academic Term of 2026, with classes beginning in September 2026.

According to the selection process schedule (item 2.1 of Public Notice No. 95/2025), candidates who disagree with the list presented above may submit an appeal between March 28 and March 31, 2026. Appeals must be sent to ppg.quimica@ufabc.edu.br, and the subject line of the message must be “APPEAL – Preliminary Results – Selection Process 2026/CTQ – full name of the candidate”.

Public Notice 95/2025 – Accepted applications after appeal – International candidates – Admission September 2026

The Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry (PPG-CTQ) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) hereby makes public the list of accepted applications after appeal for the Master’s and PhD Selection Process, for international applicants not currently residing in Brazil, for admission in the Third Academic Term of 2026, with classes beginning in September 2026.

According to the selection process schedule, the preliminary results will be published by March 27, 2026, on the website of the Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry, at: http://propg.ufabc.edu.br/ppgquimica/.

Furthermore, in accordance with item 6.2 of Public Notice No. 95/2025, transcribed below:
“6.2. Classification, in order of priority for the awarding of Program scholarships, will be divided into two groups, in the following order: candidates who submit the documents corresponding to Group I of item 5.2.1, followed by candidates who submit the documents corresponding to Group II of item 5.2.1.

6.2.1. For classification purposes, academic merit will be assessed based on the following criteria
Candidates submitting Group I documents: performance on the EUQ. Candidates will be approved if they obtain a score equal to or greater than (75±1)% of the average score of the examination taken. Scores will be normalized by the mean score of that specific exam.
Candidates submitting Group II documents: research proposal (40% of the final score), academic transcript and Currículo Lattes (40% of the final score), and two (2) letters of recommendation (20% of the final score). Candidates will be approved if they obtain a final score equal to or greater than 85% of the total possible score, considering all criteria. The items evaluated in the Currículo Lattes are detailed in Annex 2.
