Applications for Master and Ph.D. in Science and Technology/Chemistry, to start in June 2025, will be open from January 1^st to March 2^nd, 2025 (Brasilia time).

To apply for the selection process, the candidate must access the form available at SIGAA (for Master’s level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2025.2 – ALUNOS REGULARES MESTRADO” and for Ph.D. level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2025.2 – ALUNOS REGULARES DOUTORADO”), answer the form and attach copies of the listed documents (mandatory in PDF format).

NOTE: the grade from the GRE or the Unified Exam of General Knowledge in Chemistry (EUQ) or a Project submitted for a scientific grant is needed. Scores from the EUQ taken within the past 2 years will be accepted.

Candidates with a scholarship approved by a scientific research funding agency or a public or private sector company for the respective course (Master’s or Doctorate) are eligible to apply.

The Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry (PPG-CTQ) of the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) has published the partial results for the Master’s and Doctoral Candidates for admission in September 2024.

According to the selection process calendar (item 2.1 of Call No. 42/2024), candidates who disagree with the list presented in the previous item have from August 7^th to 14^th 2024 to submit an appeal. Appeals should be sent to ppg.quimica@ufabc.edu.br and the subject of the message should be “APPEAL RESULT – Selection Process 2024.3/CTQ – candidate’s full name”.

“6.2. The ranking, in order of priority for awarding scholarships from the Program, will be divided into two groups, in the following order: candidates who send the documents from Group I of item 5.2.1 and candidates who send the documents from Group II of item 5.2.1.

6.2.1. For the purposes of classification, the academic merit of the candidates will be considered, comprising an assessment of the following aspects:

– Candidates who send in the documents for Group I: performance in the Unified Exam of Chemistry (EUQ) or GRE, with candidates who obtain a performance equal to or greater than the equivalent of (75v±1)% of the average mark of the exam taken being approved;
– Candidates who sent the Group II documents: research project (40% of the grade), academic transcripts and Lattes CV (40% of the grade), and 2 (two) letters of recommendation (20% of the grade), will be approved if they obtain a performance equal to or greater than 85% of the total, considering all the criteria. The items that will be considered in relation to the Lattes CV are described in Annex 2”
