APPLICATIONS EXTENDED

Applications for Master and Ph.D. in Science and Technology/Chemistry, to start in February 2025, will be open from September 2^nd to October 15^th 31^st, 2024 (Brasilia time).

To apply for the selection process, the candidate must access the form available at SIGAA (for Master’s level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2025.1 – ALUNOS REGULARES MESTRADO” and for Ph.D. level access “CTQ – INGRESSO 2025.1 – ALUNOS REGULARES DOUTORADO”), answer the form and attach copies of the listed documents (mandatory in PDF format).

NOTE: the grade from GRE or the Unified Exam of Chemistry or a Project submitted for scientific grant is needed.

• Scores from the Unified Exam of Chemistry taken in the last 2 years and from the exam to be held on November 10^th will be accepted.
• Registration for EUQ 2024/2 call will be open until September 22, 2024

The Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry (PPG-CTQ) of the Federal University of ABC (UFABC) has published the partial results for the Master’s and Doctoral Candidates for admission in September 2024.

According to the selection process calendar (item 2.1 of Call No. 42/2024), candidates who disagree with the list presented in the previous item have from August 7^th to 14^th 2024 to submit an appeal. Appeals should be sent to ppg.quimica@ufabc.edu.br and the subject of the message should be “APPEAL RESULT – Selection Process 2024.3/CTQ – candidate’s full name”.

According to item 6.3 of Call No. 42/2024, transcribed below:

“6.3. It is the candidate’s responsibility to monitor the publication of all acts, notices and communications relating to this process on the Graduate Program in Science and Technology / Chemistry website. (http://propg.ufabc.edu.br/ppgquimica/).”

“6.2. The ranking, in order of priority for awarding scholarships from the Program, will be divided into two groups, in the following order: candidates who send the documents from Group I of item 5.2.1 and candidates who send the documents from Group II of item 5.2.1.

6.2.1. For the purposes of classification, the academic merit of the candidates will be considered, comprising an assessment of the following aspects:

– Candidates who send in the documents for Group I: performance in the Unified Exam of Chemistry (EUQ) or GRE, with candidates who obtain a performance equal to or greater than the equivalent of (75v±1)% of the average mark of the exam taken being approved;
– Candidates who sent the Group II documents: research project (40% of the grade), academic transcripts and Lattes CV (40% of the grade), and 2 (two) letters of recommendation (20% of the grade), will be approved if they obtain a performance equal to or greater than 85% of the total, considering all the criteria. The items that will be considered in relation to the Lattes CV are described in Annex 2”

The call for applications for the Master’s and Doctoral students for the Graduate Program in Science and Technology/Chemistry has been published.

Candidates who have a scholarship approved by a scientific research funding agency, or by a company in the public or private sector, for the respective course (Master’s or Doctorate) are eligible to apply.
